Our professional team of physician and dermatology nurse clinician treat a wide variety of chronic and acute skin  conditions including rashes, itching, eczema, psoriasis, acne, bites and other lesions of the skin by appointment. Insurance generally covers these office visits and treatments.

The Skin Cancer Program

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the US. 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime.   The three common types of skin cancer are Basal Cell Cancer, Squamous Cell Cancer and Melanoma.  All three are “malignancies” , and Squamous Cell cancer and Melanoma can spread to other parts of the body. Actinic Keratosis (AKs) are precancerous lesions.

We consider prevention the cornerstone of excellent medical care.  Yearly skin cancer screenings are done by Dr. Blanchet including photomapping and developing a plan of care. We provide our clients with the latest information and recommendations to prevent skin cancers at all ages.

Our board certified physician, Dr. Garrett Blanchet MD, has thirty years experience in the diagnosis, treatment and management of skin cancer and skin diseases.  He performs biopsies , cryosurgery (freezing), radio surgery, excisions, shaves and curettage as appropriate.

We are the regional center for  PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY for treatment of precancerous lesions (Actinic Keratosis). This excellent treatment option has many advantages over other treatments . Be sure to ask our Dermatology Nurse Specialist about this therapy.

Dr Garrett Blanchet MD is an expert in superficial skin surgery, radio surgery, cryosurgery and laser surgery. Benign lumps and bumps a generally easy to remove with little to no scarring.

Mole Removal
Moles are benign growths that are excised (removed) in the office under local anesthetic. Biopy will be sent to ensure that there are no cancerous cells, and the cosmetic result is excellent.

Skin Tags
Skin tags are benign growths that some people have in great numbers. Removal is a simple office procedure with excellent cosmetic results.

Dark Spots
Dark spots are commonly either sun damage or benign lesions. These can be removed by laser treatment or superficial surgery with excellent cosmetic results.

All other benign skin lesions are diagnosed at an office visit. These visits and surgery can be billed to insurance.
